Zane Chaos asked:
If there a way (possibly using a normal wifi router) to simply extend the range of a hotspot? Essentially we have free access provided locally but it only works on our balcony. Is there a setup I can use to extend that into the house?
A repeater looks like a good bet, cheers. I don’t need to be network admin to bounce a free signal do I?

I know you can pay to tether over 3G, and that with the iPhone bolt on you get free WiFi. So can you tether to that free-ness instead?

I recently bought an Ipod Touch 32g (3rd gen), and was wondering where can i get free wifi access. I don’t have wireless internet at home so what places offer free internet WITHOUT passwords ? For people in simular situations, where could you get free wifi outside of home ?

My laptop is not internet ready. I bought a netgear pc card and a 2wire modem from AT&T so I can get it to go wireless inside the house. It works beautifully inside the house. How can I also pick up free wifi at places such as Starbucks? Do I need to buy a different pc card? Or do I just need to change the settings?

I have just gotten the iPod Touch but place that claimed to have the free WiFi services do have real open access. What’s the deal for the WiFi if people can’t even connect at the places that have free ones? Do I have to input special password given from the coffee shop?

I’ve checked the specs and have seen that there are wifi charges for the wing, the problem is, I am going to use the phone in another country where T-Mobile is not available. Is there anyway to unlock or maybe access wifi for free?
