Traveler asked:

Our system at work is planning to use a RAID 1 disk system for redundant storage. The server PC will host Microsoft SQL server 2005. Are there any known incompatibilities with RAID in this configuration? How about RAID 1 on a client PC hosted by XP?

  1. There are no problems with RAID 1.
IF it is done using a proper RAID card.

    - RAID on home machines is used by gamers. to speed up loading times.
but mostly RAID 5 is used.
