Is the temperature where a cloud formed cooler or warmer than the surrounding air?
<< What cloud types, stratiform or cumuliform, indicate stability or instability of the atmosphere? Maintenance & Repairs >>
theblizz asked:
Suppose that in some broad region of the atmosphere the air temperature is 5°C. Then within a part of that region, a cloud quickly forms. The air far outside the cloud remains 5°C, but would the temperature of the air where the cloud formed likely be warmer or cooler than 5°C? Why?
